Lighthouse sea hotel

The project is a competition entry for a sea hotel in Siracusa, Italy, on a site with an existing and abandonned lighthouse. Inspired by what remains of the lighthouse structure on the coast of Capo Murro di Porco, the project seeks to start a journey from the existing structures of the site down to the new program by the sea. What is proposed is a minimal interspersed program, one that considers the site as a place of rest and tranquility, with a deep connection to the sea. The hybrid program of [hotel lodges / restaurant / exhibit / small library] is formed out of dispersed units, with paths and walkways linking from the existing lighthouse and surrounding structures.
