Bechtel Study Hall
The Student Study Space, at AUB's Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, is designed as an informal gathering and study area, featuring various adaptable spaces, and occupying the previous concrete lab hangar. The space layout and overall design enables multiple co-working and studying typologies giving students the flexibility to choose their desired study mode. The space integrates additionally a student maker space and printing area and a small coffee bar. The design tries to optimize a well-tempered indoor environment through openness, natural light and ventilation, and the integration of indoor landscape. Eco-panels line the walls allowing proper acoustic insulation and adding color and texture to the space.
